NO!!! That can definatley harm the turtle. only leave it on for about 10-13 hours a day!
Yes, red eared sliders do hibernate only in the winter and if you keep your turtle inside then it should not hibernate if you keep your turtles warm.
never
You should only keep multiple Red eared sliders if they are from the same liter. If not they will fight each other. The ones from the same liter will just compete for food ,so give plenty.
Just as long as they can't get a hold of the turtle, or the tank.
you shouldn't keep sliders with ANY kind of lizard
Yes they tend to bask on anything around them that they can stay on to keep dry for a few minutes
I have mine together in the same tank and they are fine so I don't see why not.
Yes ! The filter will help to keep the tank clean by removing uneaten food particles, and faeces from the water - reducing the amount of bacteria.
Yes, every thing should be fine just watch them and make sure that they get along. Also, understand that these turtles will get large(Red Eared Sliders get 10-12in and male Mis. maps get about 5in while female Mis. maps get 10in) so you will need to keep them in a 150gallon plus tank or backyard pond. Hope every thing works out!
Yes they can. They are very healthy for a turtle. A turtle can eat alot of different fruits. And vegtables..
No. Keep the temperature at 25 C.
They are semi-aquatic. They need a basking light and a basking area such as a floating log or basking platform so that they can climb out of the water to bask. This is essential to their health. If a red eared slider doesn't have an area to bask and can't get out of the water, it's shell will get soft and it will eventually die. They need UVA and UVB light in order to process their food. Heat and light are essential for these turtles. Keep them in water around 70 degrees and provide a basking area and a basking light that has both UVA and UVB rays or two lights, including one UVA and one UVB bulb.
