Is there any benefit to anyone that could come out of not making peace? It only traps negativity and poison inside of you.

Above answer is very true. You should always try to make peace with people whenever you can. When you hold hatred inside of you it is like a poison and can literally cause you health problems at some point in your life. Make peace whenever you can. You don't have to be friends with them or hang out together but making peace can bring you Peace!
