Should you move on with your life if you divorced your ex because he had an addiction but he is clean now and you never stopped loving him but he met someone new but he is here every day?

If he's there because you have children, then he's there to see them and perhaps see that you are OK. If he talks about his new girlfriend and seems to be in love with her then it's best to move on with your life. I am sure you know only too well that many people that are addicted to drugs will often revert back a couple of times before hopefully kicking the habit. You sure don't want to go through all that again as life is hard enough as it is. If you don't have children and he's over there JUST TO VISIT and nothing else, then perhaps he's still in love with you. Ask him right out how he feels about you and if he's truly happy with his new girlfriend. I know the future seems bleak to you at this point and you are probably thinking it's not fair that he had the problem, but he's the one with a new girlfriend and you have no one. Good things are worth waiting for and there is that special someone out there for you. Good luck hon Marcy I would keep walking. Addicts notoriously claim and sometimes do get clean but often only for a year or two. They often find it easier to go back to drugs. Its a lazy way for enjoying life as a coward. I would run. He put you through hell once, he will do it again, willingly. Be glad for him hes clean but i would put some emotional distance there.
