It means to repair a boot by replacing soles or heels.
They seem to be some variation of a python snakeskin cowboy boot.
It will sound strange, but rub your sneaker soles over the scuff. It should come right up. --- try Windex.
I'm assuming you mean cowboy boots, because that's what you typically wear and show in when riding western. In that case, it varies from boot to boot. I have 5 pairs of cowboy boots, and 3 of them have the smooth soles, while the other two have a rubber sole with a slight tread. Both are fine, it just depends on which you prefer. I personally prefer the smooth soled boots because they don't get a bunch of manure/dirt stuck in the tread, and in the case that I need to do an emergency dismount, or I fall, they come out of the stirrups easier.
Walking boots need pattern soles so that walkers have a good grip on their shoe and their feet are supported properly.
Rubber boots, or rubber soles on boots, is an insulator
Crepe rubber.
Take them to your local motorbike shop as they usually have somewhere they can send them to replace the soles. If they are boots like Alpinestars tech 10's don't let them wear through too far as then the soles cannot be replaced
Leather and the rubber soles that have been strengthened are what are used to make the Coleman boots.
Yes. If by synthetic you are referring to leather or fur, than they are not really animal. Similarly anything "man made" (i.e. in cowboy boots "sythetic upper man made soles") is also vegan.
