Yes because the other fish including the mother will eat the babies what you can do is get a mesh or plastic breeding net that you put in the tank with the other fish which you put the mother in when you think she is close to giving birth and after your sure she is done you take her out and leave the babies in there for about two weeks before letting them loose in the tank so there is no chance they will get eaten.

If the fry are small enough to be eaten by the female guppy then she will eat them. If your community tank is well planted and you have plenty of hidey holes that the fry could hide in but the other adult fish can't enter, then the fry would have a better chance of survival out of the breeding/fry tank. You need to separate the newborn fry from other larger fish or you risk having all your fry eaten. Fry from livebearers (guppies, swordtails, platties, mollies, etc.) can accepts powered flake food, other live foods such as baby brine shrimp are excellent foods, feed a small amount every 3 to 4 hours during the day.
What to do if your guppy is close giving birth?
I would suggest moving your pregnant guppy to a separate breeding tank. I would not recommend breeding boxes or any small compartments, because those are too small for your guppy and will stress it out. Instead, move it to a separate five to eight gallon tank where it won't be harassed by any other fish and will be able to have its babies peacefully. In this separate tank, do not place any gravel on the bottom. Do not put in any plastic decorations, rocks, castles, ships, etc. The only thing that should be in this tank is, of course, water, and floating plants at the top. Floating plants should ideally cover seventy-five percent of the surface, as the first instinct of the newborn guppy fry will be to race to the top of the tank. The mother will eat the guppy babies if there is no place for them to hide, so make sure to provide plenty of floating plants.

it could be that other fish are fin nipping or it could be fin rot i would recommend that you put him in another aquarium or large bucket with a heater and also put aquarium salt in the water the salt protects him from infections. hope that it helps.

Guppies have a 3 to 4 week gestation (pregnancy) period deoending upon temperature and other conditions but they are quite capable of hold off the delivery as long as they wish if conditions don't suit them.
