Aspirin and arthritis medications should be discontinued seven to 10 days before a PCNL
Zofran does not contain aspirin, but you should talk to your doctor about your allergies before starting new medication.
You should stop aspirin or any other anticoagulants at least 5 days prior to surgery. Your surgeon should instruct you specifically when to stop it though.
Patients should not take aspirin or ibuprofen for seven to 10 days before surgery.
It's okay to take aspirin while taking synthroid. (Do not take more than what is recommended on the package of aspirin.) If you are considering taking aspirin daily for your heart, it should be a baby aspirin or 1/2 tablet of plain aspirin.
1 grain = 0.06479891 Grams 5 grain aspirin is 325 milligrams roughly 15.5 Grains to a Gram So you would need to take around 12 or 13. Not sure why you would want to take this much aspirin. This will tear up your stomach in no time. If you really need to take this much you should look into getting some type of coated Asprin tablet and you should consult a physician. Daily aspirin theapy should be no more the 325mg per day the size of a normal aspirin (5 grain). This is for people who have had circulatory or heart conditions. Most people should only take a baby aspirin a day (75 to 100mg). Don't take ibuprofen and aspirin they cancel each other. If you have no choice and must take Ibuprofen then you should wait at least 8 hours before taking an aspirin and/or wait at least one hour after taking an aspirin before taking a Ibuprofen. If you take any other kind of blood thinner please consult a physician before starting any kind of aspirin regemin.
I think it has something in it that aspirin has...that could prevent clotting for surgery
Yes. The main problem may be stomach irritation.
The patient is usually instructed to take aspirin or another blood-thinning medication for several days before the procedure. Aspirin can help decrease the possibility of blood clots forming at the stent.
When aspirin gets old, it begins to decompose and you get a vinegar smell. If you smell that, the aspirin is decomposing and acetic acid is being released. Aspirin should be used before the decomposition occurs. It will still work, because the salicylic acid that does the work is still there. It can be corrosive to the stomach and that's why they combine it with a process that produces acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin). When decomposition occurs, you get salicylic acid and acetic acid.
