Should you take whey protein before and after your workout?
No, not needed both times. It is better to take whey protein after the workout. After a workout is when your muscles would need protein to repair and grow. So providing a whey protein shake within half an hour of workout helps.
Prior to the workout have a good high calorie diet. This would give you strength to workout properly. Include bananas, glucose and milk in your pre-workout diet to have sufficient calories for the workout.
Creatine can be taken right before your workout and right after to keep your pump longer. I usually take it with my Protein shakes Before and after my workout.
Whey protein is one of the best forms of protein. After a workout, your muscles would need a lot of protein to recuperate and grow. If you take whey protein after a workout, it would get absorbed by your muscles quickly and your muscles would grow well. So whey protein is best consumed after workout.
You should take protein within 1/2 hour of working out. Your muscles will need the protein to rebuild and you will need it for energy,
Yes, but not as much as you will, if you take protein after the workout.
If by supplements you mean Protein, Only choosing one or the other, you should take them after. But taking before AND after, you can heighten the effectiveness of your workout even further. If by supplements you mean vitamins and minerals, Take them before (long before).
After, because your bodu needs alot of prtein after working out
No, but it will help
Taking a protein drink after a workout is good. After a workout the body muscles will be recovering from the workout and would require a lot of protein to grow and rebuild themselves. So if you supply them with protein after a workout they would recuperate and grow well.
Can i take L glutamine even if I'm already taking a pre workout supplement before my workout and protein after I workout?
That depends entirely on the contents of your pre-workout supplement. You should always check with your doctor or nutritionist before taking, changing, or combining supplements.
After workout would be the best time to take protein. Let me explain why... When you workout, your muscle fibers are damaged depending on the intensity of your workout. After the workout, the muscles would need energy and a lot of protein to recuperate and grow. So, having a meal which is rich in protein within half an hour of completion of workout, would give the damaged muscles protein which would help the muscle grow… Read More
Is the best way to gain weight to take your protein pre- and post-workout and take Creatine right after a workout?
Before and after. You should be taking creatine twice a day for best results. But be consistent!
One can benefit from taking a protein supplement before AND after a workout; however, if you are limited to either one or the other, it is far more beneficial to take one after.
few hours before and few hours after. Remember, if you eat alot before a workout, you use the fat in the food you just ate, not your body fat. And after a workout rest for hour or two before a big meal. But if you wanna build muscle, then you can take protein right before and after workout.
You don't exactly need a protein shake before your workout. A protein shake is best taken right after you are finished with your workout. After your workout your muscles have begun to break down and the faster you take in some protein the faster your muscles will recover. I would only recommend taking protein at other times of the day if you are not recieving the approximate amount of protein you need through your diet.
Yes you take protein before a work out to build muscle. Then you take protein after a workout to recover you muscle. You can take a shake in the morning with your breakfast and after the workout. Never drink a shake prior to working out, unless you want to burp it back out and potentially vomit all over the gym. After a hard workout (like compounds), your body wants to restore, which is the best… Read More
You can take a protein shake after a workout even if it is late at night. You will want to watch your total caloric intake for the day if you are working toward losing weight.

You should take 15 minutes to properly stretch before a workout. Failure to stretch properly can result in injury, and can also limit the size and strength benefits of the workout.
You should take your protein immediately after workout, preferably within 30 minutes of training for the protein drink to be most effective. This is not only a good time to absorb protein, but it is optimal for replenishing glycogen stores. The carbohydrate to protein ratio should be four to one ratio for endurance training, two to one ratio for strength training and one to one radio for those looking to lose fat. Since muscle does… Read More

What is the best protein supplement on the market and what other supplements are required for building muscle?
The best supplement for building muscle is a combination of whey protein and creatine. Take creatine before a workout and whey protein after. Also, an amino acid supplement or a muscle fiber recruitment supplement would also be beneficial to add before your workout.
You will need protein all the time, but the "best times" to eat protein is before and after your workout. Your muscles require protein after a workout to repair itself, so the protein consumed should will be available after your workout to regenerate those muscles. Muscle growth is achieved through rest, your muscles are the weakest when you lift, so you need to give them at least 48 hours of rest to grow. Many people… Read More
Casein is a slow digesting protein so should be taken when a long, slow flow of nutrients are needed, right before bed, as soon as you wake up and/or at lunch time for example. You would avoid taking it right before (pre) or after(post) your workout because in them situations you would want a fast digesting protein to get to your muscles as quick as possible.
Take it 20 minutes befor your workout and stay hydrated by drinking water all day. My doctor told me this information for my workouts.
Yes, you can take it with anything, i always take it with a meal after a workout.
Can you? yes, i mean it's physically possible but why would pre-workout be called "pre" workout if your taking it after your work out ? It would just be foolish to do that because the pre workout wouldn't do anything for you. you would just be getting energized after your already done working out there would be no point. take your pre workout supplement 10 minutes before you work out and take your post workout… Read More
You can, but i would suggest taking 30grams whey post workout and 30 grams pre work out
Everyone should eat foods rich in protein daily, but those who are attempting to build muscles often take extra protein supplements. When building muscles, protein should be taken throughout the day, and is effective taken before or after workouts.
You could take it before, but it's much better to take it afterwards so your body has some protein to help rebuild damaged muscle tissue.
it all depends on what ur working for me i take MHP's up your mass 62g of protien 820 caleries to gain mass
I am going to start using size-on creatine. the directions say to sip it while u work out and in between reps. can i drink half before and half after?
You can, but you would be wasting your money. If the directions say to sip it while you work out, that's exactly what you should do. Creatine is best absorbed gradually, and as your body's need for it increases (during the workout), absorption will get better. Most capsule forms of Creatine simulate this by having a slower release; you take it before your workout, and the capsule gradually releases it into your system. If you… Read More
Yes creatine should definitely be taken before a workout, as well as most kinds advise you to take it after too but before hand is key because along with muscle building properties creatine helps your body re-supply ATP, which is your bodies natural energy source.
You weight 240 and you work out 4-5 times a week what is a good amount of protein you should intake after doing your muscle training?
your daily protein intake should be 1 to 1.5 grams of your bodyweight which means 240-360 grams....after workout you should take about 50-60 grams of protein(not protein powder, while 50-60 grams of protein powder do not provide 50-60 grams of protein but less, since the protein powder is not only protein)...
yes you should. but you will not need a large amount like you would when you are doing weight training, maybe around 10-15g Protein should be enough. however i recommend focusing on taking more carbohydrates after cardio training rather than protein, because your body is glycogen depleted after a cardio session
Their is no risk at all while taking these supplements until and unless you do not exceed the prescribed limit of intake. First of all their is no need to take creatine if you are using Nitric Oxide (NO) supplement, because Nitric oxide gives you the same boost as you get from CREATINE. Buts still if you wanna use all three then follow this schedule : >Nitric Oxide in an empty stomach in the morning… Read More
You don't need to, and in fact you very likely will not notice a difference. But it is a good source of protein and it is important to have energy (which would of course also come from carbs) before your workout. It would probably better to have the whey immediately afterwards however.
many prefer creatine over whey protein because whey protein has to be constantly mixed with a shake and by finishing the shake before any workout, you may feel bloated and full. creatine comes in pills which is a lot easier than getting full on a shake, so therefore, creatine would be the better substance to take for any hard core workout.
Can you take 2 kre alkalyn pill before work out even it says take one pre and 1 post workout and take protein sheak after work out?
Yes, you can take 2 pill's of Kre-Alkalyn before you start you're work out but it will not bring you best results. The reason why you should drink 1 before workout and 1 after is that Kre-Alkalyn is 15 times stronger than regular creatine which means 1 pill is enough to keep the body well supplied during training and the other after training is to replenish the creatine that was used by you're body during… Read More

yes , protein post workout will not effect the effectiveness of muscle pharms assault, if at all it will enhance its effects by providing energy broken down by the body into 2d like chains called amino acid, but the protein will definitely improve recovery and add mass while the workout will enhance your workout by give you the energy and mindset you need in the gym to get big , good luck and lift hard… Read More

Never take it before running cause the lactose (whey) in protein is bad for your knees and can ruin your knees if you run with it in your system, plus a heavy substance in your system when running will make you feel sick. Take it afterwards when your body is looking for protein to rebuild the muscles and since usually people dont feel like eating right after cardio workout, protein with water or shake will… Read More

Human muscles usually take about 24-48 hours to regenerate after a workout. People usually workout every second day to let their muscles recover before they do it again.
I think that if your working out, you should have a protein intake before you start to work out and within the first 45 min after working out.
you can take them together..indeed you should take them together..and also add a simple carb to the shaker(like dextrose or sweet fruit juice like grape or banana)...a great post workout shake...
