obviously, you should.but only if you are completely sure about it.
You could use traps for mice which you can capture alive. You should make sure you let them go far away from your house. Otherwise they will return. The other way is a cat. You should be able to take them from everywhere and throw them away or burry them ( just in case the cat won´t eat them ).
You really don't have to train your ferrets to hunt house mice, it should be a natural instinct for them to kill the mice. Also, just the smell of ferrets should keep mice away.
The human population helped the mice population in several ways. The first would be eliminating the wolf population, since the primary diet of wolves are mice. We've also helped them by the sheer waste of food in the U.S. since mice feed off the garbage we throw away.
no i have never heard of them doing that.
Put moth balls around your pool area as they have been known to keep not only mice away but snakes also.

baby mice crawl out of their cage at the age of 3 months. so you should put the cage in a box so they dont run away and die or get stepped on or crushed.
Pinkies (hairless baby mice) should not be handled. Wait until they have hair. Pinkies rely on warmth, and can die if away from the nest which is just the right temp for them.
