No if he/she is new it may take a while, if you have had the hamster for a while and it still won`t get a hamster ball so he/she can run around the house and learn how to roll,then he/she might use the wheel.

Not that I know of, my hamster will be in his wheel daily and exerice for long periods of time. This is normal, this is how they get their energy out. Don't worry about your hamster it will be fine. Don't force them to go in the wheel but allow it to be in the cage they can use it at their own use.

I don't think there's much you can do about that. If it has never run on it's wheel then I wouldn't worry about it. If it used to, but now it doesn't then check to see if it's wheel is stuck. If not, you should probably take it to the vet, because something might be wrong.

No, not quite. It is only unhygienic if the hamster has not been cleaned, but dont worry. I never got sick from touching mine, and mine never bites. Just to be safe, if you get sick/ a weird feeling after touching your pet, send your pet to the vet, and if you do not get better, then you should see your local pharmacist or pet vendor.
