Muslims believe that Islam means submission to the will of God, and that the first man, Adam, was a prophet and a muslim. If you want to know when the prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) started preaching Islam...that was in around 610 AD and started in Makkah (Mecca) followed by Medina and then spread around every where.
