Sir syed ahmed khan
The two nation theory explains that two nations with separate ideologies cannot exist together and should live separately.
the theory that sir syed Ahmed khan realised that Muslims & Hindu can't live together because of differences between them. Also Muslims were not given equal opportunities like Hindus & they weren't allowed to practice their religion &culture freely. So it was at that time when sir syed Ahmed khan realised that Muslims need a separate state where they can practice their religion & culture freely & thus two nation theory was formed that demanded dividing of India into two states on the basis of religion & culture.
Sir Syed Ahmed Khan always called Hindus and Muslims as one nation. In the Book SIR SYED AHMED KHAN by Mr. Abdul Haq, where he clearly mentions that " Sir Syed Ahmed Khan always considered Hindus and Muslims as one nation, until Hindus separated their language and started writing Urdu in Deva Nagri script and called it as Hindi. This was the point when he began considering Hindus and Muslims as two nations " Because there were now two languages, Urdu and HIndi and Sir Syed Ahmed Khan was well aware of the fact that nations are built on languages.
