How do you replace the valve in a Moen shower single handle faucet The faucet was installed in 2004. When you turn the handle to the left for hot the water stops. Hot water is present in the sink?

Turn the water off to the faucet. Remove the handle. The top of the faucet should unscrew to get to the ball valve. Replace the valve and gaskets then reassemble the faucet.

There's a valve on the bottom that you open in order to bleed the radiator. When air stops coming out - just water - then you should be all set.

Is there a shower drain with a built in check valve?

You can get a back water valve. It is similar to a check vale/ the back water valve goes on your main sewer line out side of home. It is desined to stop black water form coming into your home if main line stops up. Thay do make a device that can be installed into an exsisting drain it lets water through your drain but will not let water back up through you shower drain.

Have a moen single handle shower valve Water stopped flowing for no apparent reason Replaced cartridge per Moen product consultant's instructions Water dribbles at first then stops Help?

See if the valve has integral stops. These will usually be between the cartridge and the inlets of the water. When you have the cartridge out, open each stop slowly to purge any sediment out. This will also tell you if there is water pressure to that point of the faucet. Don't stand directly in front of it and get soaked, I don't want you blaming me! lol
