So my Sega Genesis emulator for the Dreamcast called Segaplus DC has the roms folder ready but how do i set up the folder so when i make it into an image with selfboot and burn it it will work on DC?

go to "dcisozone.com" and get the pre-built image from them. (it includes roughly 1000 roms already "set up" as you say. just download and burn and your done. note: make sure you have alcohol120% program to burn with...

There is a Program called Dreamboot. Just open it, select "Scrambled Binary", select the folder with the emulator (make sure you already have ROMs saved), then save it as a DiscJuggler Image or Nero Image, and put it on a blank CD-R and there you go!

The great thing about Dreamcast is that it will read a regular CD that you can burn off your computer. All you need to do is find a site with the emulators you need, burn them to disc (in Dreamcast format), and then game on! Just make sure you burn the emulator to one disc and the games to a separate one.

The Genesis is a toploading cartridge console. There's no way you could even get the disc inside the game, let alone play it. And no, the Sega CD won't run the disk either. That's like trying to run a Wii game on a Nintendo 64. Companies don't predict what their next two systems will be like and then make an add-on for their current console to play them. Furthermore, the Genesis is fourth generation. The Dreamcast is sixth. The Genesis couldn't run such a game, even if you could get it in. It's far to advanced a technology.
