You don't mention what make or model your vehicle is, but some have a Transmission Range Sensor (TRS or DTRS) that will affect the overdrive and downshifting of the transmission. It is located on the side of the transmission and any misalignment of the sensor will cause those symptoms. However, I don't think that same sensor will make the engine run rough - but it certainly affects as mentioned above. If the SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT is ON, or has come ON lately, have it diagnozed, I am sure you will find the problem.

Why is my 1992 Chevy truck heater switch not working?

Sometimes switches wear out, which could be the reason the switch in your 1992 Chevy truck is not working. There could also be a problem with the wiring. You may also want to check the fuse for the blower to see if it's bad.

2000 grand am sometimes heater blower works sometimes not - any answers?

If a 2000 Grand Am sometimes has the heater blower working and sometimes it won't, the problem could be with the heater relay switch. The heater relay switch lets the heater blower know when to come on and when to go off. In most vehicles this switch is behind the glove compartment. This part sometimes gets corroded from condensation in this area.

What could it be if it ain't relay switch or fuel pump?

What could be the reason for an automatic trunk closer not working on a 1996 Cadillac STS?

IF IT WON'T LATCH WHEN YOU CLOSE IT, THE PROBLEM IS THE SWITCH THAT IS MOUNTED ON THE MOTOR. THE SWITCH HAS A FLAT PLASTIC ACCUATOR.PRESS DOWN ON IT TO HEAR IF IT CLICKS. YOU CAN GET ONE AT A BUICK DEALER CHEAPER THEN CADILLAC,ABOUT $19.00. REGARDS PAUL G

What causes the Blinkers to stopped working in a 2001 grand am?

There could be numerous problems that may cause this fault. Personally, my blinkers started going out (working sometimes and sometimes not) and what I found out is this...The flasher switch that is located in the dashboard above the radio is faulty. When my blinkers do not work i just tap down on the flasher switch without turning it on and my blinkers work again. Shotty electrical work in this car if ya ask me.
