There really no easy way to speed up PDF access. If the file is real large it will slow down access to it. Also if the server the file is hosted on could be slow or have to many people trying to gain access at the same time you are. Your own internet connection and your computer can be causing slow connections. The best thing you can do is try and troubleshoot the reason for slow connections.

With server permissions, simply upload your file to a destination folder and make a link to that pdf file. Example: If you have a website http://www.example.com/ you upload your pdf to a new folder on the server called "pdf" So that folder is now at http://www.example.com/pdf/ and the file can be accessed using a link: http://www.example.com/pdf/myfile.pdf which in most cases will automatically load into the current or "_self" page. (I try to include trailing slashes whenever possible [A trailing slash is the "/" at the end of a URL FOLDER ]) All URL's are CaSe SeNsItIvE Upload the file to that folder. Be sure to save a blank .html page in any folder in which you create (this prevents direct access to the files in that folder and can be done using the any text editor- just "save as..." with an extension of ".html" instead of ".txt") ---- Well in this case, you will need to have ftp server permissions, sorry!
