I'm trying to find out what kind of tire pressure sensor would my 2004 monte carlo need?
This depends on the size of tires that are on the 2000 Monte Carlo SS. The maximum amount of pressure to be put in the tire is found on the tire itself. The owners manual states that tire pressure can be found in the trunk on the tire-loading information tag. Most vehicles run between thirty to thirty-three pounds of pressure.
Historically, those two cars had the same size wheels on them, so yes.
If you can get it raised then you can get tires of any size as long as there street legal.
The one it came with. Look on the drivers door post for size of OEM tire/rim combination.
I suggest you go to Tire Rack. You will have to go with a tire with a very small sidewall. Probably a 45 series tire.
on driver side when you open door there is a manufactor lable with that code including tire size
225/60 R 16, recommended PSI is 30. All this is available on the inside of your trunk lid.
30 to 32 lbs.
