What state is the store located in? If your state has a firearms purchase limit, they will have to adhere to it. Besides that, does WalMart itself have a corporate policy that limits the number of firearms that can be sold to the same person within a certain timeframe?
All firearms have FET built into the price
No one has an exact number, since, in most of the US, private sales of firearms between residents of the same state are legal- and there are no world wide numbers. It is ESTIMATED that around 15 million firearms were sold in the US last year- but that is only an estimate.
If you mean Target department stores, the stores in my area never sold firearms.

The sale of firearms is governed by both State and Federal laws. To be "engaged in the business" of buying and selling guns anywhere in the US, you must be licensed by the Federal Government as a Federal Firearms License holder with an 01 Dealers license. All gun shops and sporting goods stores that sell firearms hold such a license.
That depends on the laws in YOUR country. Bear in mind, we receive questions from all over the world. In the US, registration is typically not required. After California's passage of their so-called "assault weapons" ban in 1989, registration of rifles grandfathered in was required. Those firearms could not be sold again to anyone in the state of California. NFA regulated firearms are registered with the federal government (full auto weapons, destructive devices, suppressors, etc.). Those can only be sold by a licenced Class III dealer, and cannot be sold by an individual directly to another individual.
