the rims may be un balanced if they were a cheap set. but you probably just need to have your tires balanced, any tire shop should be able to do this.

Bad CV joint? How about a bad steering box?
If it shakes all the time it is a tire/wheel problem. If it only shakes when braking then it is a brake problem.
It could as well be your motor mounts.

There may be something jammed inside your ignition. If this is not the problem then you will need to have a new ignition installed.
Your driveline may need alignment (front end alignment), you may have warped rotors, or you could have bad "ball joints".

The power steering pump on an Audi A4 is changed by draining the coolant, removing the radiator hoses, and pulling the accessories from the front of the engine. The pump can then be unbolted, the gasket replaced, and the new pump installed.
If the steering column is broken on a 1989 Firebird, it may have to be taken apart to be repaired. If it is only the ignition that the thieves damaged, a new ignition can be installed.
