There may be something jammed inside your ignition. If this is not the problem then you will need to have a new ignition installed.
i have a 1997 Chevy Tahoe and the steering wheel will locked up when am making a turn or a curve
You need to remove the steering wheel. The switch is located below the steering wheel.
It sounds like the steering wheel is locked, try to wiggle the wheel at the same time you turn the key.
howell grand prix 2001
Locked possibly if your model does and most newer ones do.
RESET THE ALARM
the ignition key will not turn if the steering wheel is locked in place. The steering wheel locks in place when it is turned with the ignition off. If the wheel is locked just try turning the wheel back and forth and turn the key at the same time, this will unlock the wheel, and allow the key to turn
I found that if you pull the steering wheel all the way to the right, even if the steering wheel is locked, then insert your key, it will turn.
just turn the key til the point it goes(gently).when it stops, move the steering wheel while turning the key.
Turn the wheelMake sure the steering wheel is not locked. Try turning the steering wheel a little and then turn the key. no it didn't
its probably your steering wheel being locked. its a theft deturent, have to turn the wheel slightly in order to allow the key to turn the ignition so it will start.
Slightly turn the steering wheel and it should let you turn the key to on position
