It is always better to restore the stripped drain pan back to its original size with a steel insert.

You can suck the oil out of the engine by going down through the dipstick tube and changing the filter or you will have to get the drain plug out and have the oil pan repaired. You can purchase a drain plug that will work where one is stripped out. Go to any auto parts store and explain the situation.
Probably just the gasket on the plug (if it's tight). Make sure the plug isn't stripped.
