Hi,I guess this is the Turbo forester.The reason is because the turbo has to spin first before the engine burns the fuel you have sent by pressing the pedal, that is turbo lag.

The Forester XT has a 2.0 Liter, Twin Scroll Turbo Charged, intercooled, Direct Injected engine. This engine is good for 250hp. It is found in the Forester XT Premium and XT Touring models. Engine model code is FB20-DIT
