2 classic sales types are the "aggressive" and the "passive".
The digressive is often a store that requires the "hard sell" to get the customer to make that Buy. These can be car sales, White good, computer/entertainment outlets.
The more passive are classic food retailers where self serve is the key factor, browsing is the norm . In some small family trade stores where its a deli, butchery or fruit and vegetables - the friendly corner shop, knows each customer by their name is a massive sales point as the familiarity is the passive encouragement.
Aggressive sales delivery is very often found in the spontaneous buying sector. Where the customer is "just browsing" the item, with a view to May buy. The sales person is the to add to that demand thinking, providing the must have features, potential to buy now because xyz, this is the physiological play of the "need and want " thinking
