Suppose that, in a pea plant, round seeds are dominant over wrinkled seeds in the "texture" gene. If you were to take two plants heterozygous for the texture gene and cross them together to make eight new plants, how many of those plants should express the smooth phenotype? Use a Punnett's Square to determine the results.

Mercury has shrunken through time. As Mercury cooled and shrank, the crust wrinkled.
Crossing between two parents is done to combine noble characters of parents into the next generation. Suppose a dwarf pea plant has better quality of pods and its tall counterpart has more number of pods per plant then a plant breeder may think of combining these two characters into its hybrid. The genotype for these tall & dwarf parents with variable pod quality and quantity may be designated as - Tall parent --- ppTT & dwarf parent -- PPtt
the 2 alleles of the gene for the trait are different on the 2 homologous chromosomesBeing heterozygous for a trait means that they have different alleles for a trait. For instance: Tt would be heterozygous and TT or tt would be homozygous because they are both eitehr little or big t's.it mean the gene is not pure or for example suppose a person is blood group A but actually he is having A and O; because O is recessive trait the gene express the A trait instead, making the person having blood group A.
In simple Mendelian genetics, there may be several alleles (variations) for a given trait. since organisms generally have two pairs of chromosomes, they have two alleles. A dominant allele is one that when it is present, always shows itself. A recessive allele only shows when there are two copies of the recessive allele. For example, suppose brown hair is dominant and black hair is recessive. If there are any copies of the brown hair allele, the person's hair will be brown. A person's hair will be black only if they have two copies of the black hair allele. In reality, genetics is much more complicated than simply dominant and recessive as many genes may influence one trait.

Because they can
I suppose that is up to you. But the clothes will likely make sleeping uncomfortable. They will get wrinkled too.
By "test cross" you can know whether it homozygous dominant or heterozygous dominant...in homozygous both alleles code for the dominant trait, in heterozygous one allele is recessive (what you called a "hidden factor"). To perform the test cross, cross a homozygous recessive with the first generation. Lets suppose tall pea tree in the first generation is hetrozygous dominant (Xx) and has alleles X (dominant) and x (recessive). When we cross it with homozygous recessive (xx) X x x :Xx xx x :Xx xx we get half offspring showing dominant trait (Xx) and half showing recessive (xx). If the first generation was homozygous (which is not possible) the result would be X X x: Xx Xx x: Xx Xx all the offspring showing dominant trait and it doesn't really happen when we cross the first generation with homozygous recessive. It means that the genotype of first generation is heterozygous (has a hidden factor or a recessive allele x). Note:You must know what the recessive and dominant allele means...In presence of a dominant allele, recessice character is not expressed but it is present is heterozygous. If both alleles are recessive (homozygous recessive) then the recessive trait is expressed. If both the alleles are dominant (homozygous dominant) obviusly the dominant trait is showed by the individual.

identical twins could not be produced because there is only suppose to be 2 gametes which is one dominant and one recessive though there can´t be only one gamete i dont know if this answer makes sense but i dont know either if its right
suppose you found a curl cat and wanted to start your own population. how would you determine whether the curl allele is dominant or recessive?
Yes and on you're as dominant wrist for positive energy!
Suppose letter T represent an allele for tallness in an organism, its homozygous combination would be TT and heterozygous combination would be Tt.
