First you have to set up the equation in slope intercept form:
y=3x+1500
y=20x
Now you solve:
20x=3x+1500
-3x -3x
17x=1500
/17 /17
x=88.235
Since you can not sell 88.2 T-Shirts you must round UP to 89, because if you round down to 88, you did not sell enough to break even.
