If I am leaning on one side, like now, left elbow resting on chair, I am tilted to the left, leaving the right side of my body higher than the left, then I will sweat all the way down my right hand side, to the point of sweat dripping off.

My heart rate isn't increased, I am not out of breath.

It's always been there, but it's usually when I've had a hot drink or eaten fatty foods.

I will sweat on the side that is more elevated.

It's like my body is venting heat real fast, heat rises and collects at the top, sounds very simplified, but that's what it seems to be doing

There is an invisible line, especially down my face.

I haven't noticed if it goes back and front when lying down, but will experiment the next time I realise it's happening.

It doesn't cause me any stress, but it happens that anyone I mention it to just looks at me like I'm insane.

Glad to know there are others out there.

Cheers.

There are normal imbalances in sweating, so before going further, make sure you are not just sweating less on one side, but actually not sweating at all. If you are sweating heavier on one side, make sure it isn't just uneven application of antiperspirant or that you have been lying in bed with blankets over half your body and not the other half. Ruling out the simple things is always the first step. :)

If you really are only sweating on one side, this is a very rare condition, but it has been known to happen in people with nerve damage. In order to determine what is causing it, and where to go from here, you should definitely see a neurologist.

You don't. You sweat everywhere there are sweat glands, which is essentially anywhere you have skin.

What are the side effects of hyperhidrosis surgery if any?

One side effect of hyperhidrosis surgery is compensatory sweating. This means that other areas of the body will sweat more so that the body can compensate for the areas that now cannot sweat due to the surgery. However, many patients find that this compensatory sweating can be managed and is an acceptable trade off.

Are there only 3 sweat glands in your body?

There are millions of sweat glands in your body! There's one sweat gland (or two. I'm rusty on this) for every single pore in your skin. That's a LOT.

Why should the body be rid of sweat?

The body sweats because it is one of the ways that the body expels impurities.

How does the skin get rid of the sweat?

To sweat (perspire) is a natural function of the human body. Sweat glands in the body react to changes in body temperature. Sweat is the body's cooling system. The gland excrete a salty solution which when this is on the skins surface evaporates and thus lowers the body's temperature.

What does it meat when body is cold outside even when you sweat?

The human body has a set temp of 98.6 degrees. If the temp rises above that set point homeostasis mechanisms kick in. when this happens the body releases sweat from sweat glands all throughout the body. In most cases when this happens a human is going under a lot of strenuous activity. even if it is cold out side the body can still build up enough heat to activate homeostasis mechanisms and produce sweat.
