Pronator teres muscle
The supinator muscle acts with the biceps brachii to supinate the forearm.
The three functional roles in a movement that are used to characterize muscle groups are Origin, Insertion, & Contraction (Actions). However my instructor argued that the key word was functional therefore the answer she felt was correct is/was agonists, antagonists, or synergists.
The muscles of the hand are as listed below:abductor pollicis brevisflexor pollicis brevisopponens pollicisabductor digiti minimiflexor digiti minimiopponens digiti minimidigitorum profunduspalmer interosseidorsal interosseiflexor retinaculumpalmer aponeurosiflexor digitorum superficialisThese muscles along with many tendons help to control the hand and are broken down into different groups of muscles.
White muscle and red muscle differ in their structure and function. White muscle is pale in color, has fewer blood vessels and mitochondria, and is used for short bursts of activity. Red muscle is darker in color, has more blood vessels and mitochondria, and is used for sustained activity. White muscle is better suited for strength and power, while red muscle is better suited for endurance and stamina.
To rotate the forearm, this is called supination and pronation. The radius has a pivot joint at both ends and rotates over the ulna.
Phasic muscle contractions are quick and powerful, used for activities like jumping or throwing. Tonic muscle contractions are sustained and steady, used for activities like maintaining posture or holding a position.
the muscle is used when you eat to much crispey skin chicken from the tea house and you jam tart out self lol :P
Yes, it is a secondary muscle (synergist/stabilizer) used in the squat. There is a link below in which you can get a chart of the muscles used in a squat: go down about halfway and you'll see the chart.

Biceps Brachii is a powerful supinator of the forearm, the Supinator muscle also completes supination of the forearm particularly when the forearm is supinating in a slow and unopposed manor or if the forearm is extended.
When hammering a nail a person uses the wrist muscle, triceps muscle, bicep muscle and hand muscles which are called extrinsic, thinner eminence and intrinsic muscles.
The fixators prevents any unecessary movement, Look into biomechanics for more detail. Is all about the way that the muscles moves. ie BICEP CURL: Agonist - Prime mover muscle: Biceps Antagonist - Opposing muscle group: Triceps. Synergist - Helping muscle group(assists): Brachioradialis. Fixators - Prevents unecessary movement: Abs and Back and Shoulders and wrists.
What muscle doesnt get used?
Pronation is the medical term used to describe a movement that makes something face downwards. E.g. pronation of the forearm. The opposite is supination.
Radius and Ulna bones. Upper and lower Radio-ulnar jonts are used in it. Radius turns aruond Ulana bone. Actions being pronation and supination.
your jaw muscle or masseter muscle
the hand is often used for many purposes like eating so it tends to be muscular than the other. for instance when one fights an opponent he or she tends to use the hand to launch strong punches towards the opponent.
Exercise machines, medicine balls, and hand weights are just a few of the many different pieces of toning equipment. Toning equipment is used to build muscle.
