Tap water with lots of dissolved limestone is hard. If the calcium ions are replaced with sodium ions it is said to be soft. To determine if your tap water is hard, you can test it by using tincture of green soap. The softer the water, the more the foam. See the attached link.
Unless contaminated with particular chemicals, such as calcite, tap water is neutral in most cases.
It depends on where you live, there are websites you can use to find out if you live in an area with hard or soft water.
cause their molecules inside making tap water hard to supercool
soft
The alkaline water is a hard water - otherwise it is soft
i think its hard
Hard water is the one that does not lather with soap. Permanent hard water can be converted to soft water by adding sodium carbonate (Na2CO3), or calgon or zeolite.
No it is not it is really hard like some water
cause their molecules inside making tap water hard to supercool
hard water can be converted to soft water by boiling, filteration etc.
Hard water has more calcium than soft water does
Water is hard when it contains a lot of calcium. If you add table salt to it you will get hard salt water. The calcium and salt will deposit in your hair and it will be like coming home from the beach...without the sand. If you want your hair to be soft, wash it in soft water, rain water, distilled water or deionized water then follow the wash with a conditioner.
it is soft water
Because hard water is better than soft water for drinking
It depends on what area you live in whether your water is hard or soft, hope that helps :)
Soft water is used in all industries and for drinking; hard water can be used in agriculture.
soft water easily lather witth soap but hard water do not.
soft
Soft water is better solvent
