if the crank sensor is bad it does not tell the computer that the crank is turning it will not fire up the engine.
It won't crank!
when you here a load boom from the crank snapping in half and going throw the block or when it all of a sodden go's up in flames those are two tell tell signs of it!
as the pistons go up and down, and the temperature changes the air in a crank case has to go somewhere. that is what the vent is for
