I live in the New York City suburbs. Approximately 10 miles from Manhattan. It happens to be hotter in the suburbs than NYC. The main reason for this as I have read is that NYC is "cooled" a bit by all the water surrounding it.
It's not in the city boundaries of Paris (which only include the central area) but it is in the suburbs of the city.
