At this point you have the distributor cap, plug wires, rotor, and ingnition coil removed from the distributor. The pick up coil is located inside the distributor housing.
Using an ohm meter, measure the resistance between the pick up coil terminals. On 1992 model they are identified as NE+ and NE-. The resistance should be between 370-530 ohms.
If your reading is outside this range the distributor will need to be replaced. ($140.00 - $160.00 as of 12-01-2013)
$100 if you look hard, or have a friend in the parts business. Less at auto salvage yards. Perform the same test before buying the used distributor, and get a 30 day warranty. Reputable salvage yards offer this.

It is in the fuse box. Check all of the fuses with a test light.
Take the 1992 Toyota Camry to receive a diagnostic test. The machine will allow the test to manually turn of the airbag light and also see what is causing the light to turn on.

I have a '95 Tercel and the OBDII port is located inside the fuse box cover on the lower left side of the dash to the left of the steering wheel. If you go to a parts store they will tell you it doesn't exist, so just open the cover and show them. It is in fact there.
Probably a issue with the multifunction swith (headlamp switch). You'll need to test the switch.
The same thing happened to my 1995 Tercel. I guessed that it was the Alternator. To test if it was, I disconnected the battery while the car was on, and it instantly turned off, which confirms that indeed the alternator is dead. My mechanic also confirmed it. Remove it and bring it to a NAPA store. They will test it free.
