The 2000 dodge Caravan cooling fan mounted to the radiator won't shut off?

with the key out ? the fan WILL run in hot weather for ...well a long time after shut off in fact it gets hotter after you shut off as the water pump is no longer helping to cool the motor off all the Hot coolant just sits their! If this is the case it will work as it was designed to do and Will stop once the temp sensor says All is cool (wait and listen) if not it probably won't start in the morning as the fans draw a good bit of power I don't know where your at on this problem but most often fans DON"T WORK. so to you may have the odd relay welded shut-closed keeping the fan on / bad wire or short but most tend to Fail so if this is all you notice its just summer time.
