The Catholic Church is the Mystical Body of Christ, read your New Testament. It has been journeying towards Our Blessed Lord since its foundation, and, as it is guided by the Holy Spirit, and guaranteed by Our Blessed Lord, Jesus Christ, to maintain anything else is to call God a liar who can't keep his promises.
