There are several good colleges to graduate from for a degree in petroleum engineering. Stanford University in California is one of the top schools. Another school is the Mariette College in Marietta, Ohio.

Engineering is very suitable for girls. Humans are not limited by gender. Queens University, a very good engineering school in Canada, has many female engineering alumni. There still exists a gender gap in this scientific field but that is because of archaic bias's perpetuated by a once totally male dominated profession.
The college was ranked at #60 in a survey of India's 100 Top Engineering Colleges by Outlook India magazine in July 2006. Still, I have no idea how they could come up with such a ranking when the school is only five years in existence being established in 2003. That means the ranking was indicated when the school was only three years old. Something just doesn't make sense here! It's just not old enough to make an accurate decision about the quality of its curriculum. It would be better to choose a more established institution.
