Krakatoa was formerly on the island of Krakatoa, which was destroyed in the 1883 eruption. Currently the volcano erupts from a new island, Anak Krakatau.
Yes. Krakatoa is a volcano prone to violent eruptions and it probably will erupt violently again. While it periodically has small eruptions,we might not see another one on the scale of the 1883 eruption for a few thousand years.
Krakatoa is made up of 3 different rocks. magma, mud stone and limestone. Krakatoa is a massive volcano
It killed a lot of people and destroyed their homes, meaning the islands got destroyed and a lot of holidays could've been cancelled due to the destruction.
Krakatoa destroyed 165 villages and towns, and 132 seriously damaged. Many thous0and people were injured by the eruption mostly from the tsunamis that followed. The eruption destroyed 2/3 of the islands of Krakatao. At least 36417 people died and the volcano is growing 5 metres per year.
