The Brock layer.
The Dermis.
Corium (Latin for skin, hide or leather) means the dermis (middle layer of skin) in humans or the thick, leathery, basal portion of a hemelytron (true bug). Corium International, Inc. is a leader in applying advanced transdermal delivery systems (proteins, peptides and vaccines through the skin). Corium is also called fuel containing material or lava-like fuel containing material that is formed during a nuclear meltdown in a nuclear reactor core.
The dermis is often called the true skin. It has a layer over it called the epidermis and one below it that has a lot of fat cells. That is called the subcutaneous layer. (cutaneous means skin).
Dermis
The subcutaneous layer of the skin is not actually part of the skin, though it is usually mentioned when discussing the anatomy of the skin. It is also called the hypodermis, or the superficial fascia. It is a layer underneath the true skin and has blood vessels, adipose tissue (stored fat), nerve cells, and lymphatic capillaries. It is the loose tissue that is between the skin and the muscles. The layer that covers the muscles underneath is called the deep fascia.
The components of skin. Epidermis is the top layer. (Epi=above, -dermis=skin). The dermis is the true skin and middle layer. The hypodermis is below the dermis. (hypo=below)
Subcutaneous means below the top layer of the skin. The dermis is called the true skin and is below the cutaneous layer. An injection done in the correct way should not draw blood as blood vessels are in the dermal layer.
true
Dermis is true skin, or a layer of body tissue.
Yes. It is true. It is called ozone layer.
The myocardium is not the innermost layer of the heart, the endocardium is.
Most visible skin problems can be seen on the epidermis, which is the outermost layer of the skin. Problems that are seen there can be caused by a problem within the deeper layers of the skin, the dermis and the subcutaneous layer of skin. The dermis is where most skin problems show? true or false?
It is the least serious of burns. Only the outer layer of skin is burned.
