Each county has its own disgnated collecter for the state, for example in Bexar County the tax collecter for the state is Sylvia S. Romo CPA RTA CTA Tax collecter assessor. They collect property taxes and taxes for the sale of vehicles. There are private companies that also collect these fees for the state but they charge an extra fee for convenience of not having to deal with complete idiots at Sylvia S Romo's office.
