folded mountains
there formed by Pangaea a word created by Alfred Wegner
same way mountains are but not as compressed as much
Rocks/Mountains.
Europe's many mountain ranges affect its development by separated groups of people from one another as they settled the land thousands of years ago. This is one of the reasons why different cultures devevolped across the continent
Some mountain ranges, such as the Himalayan Mountain Range are still growing because the tectonic collision that created them is still occuring. The rate of uplift exceeds the rate of erosion. Many mountain ranges, such as the Appalachian Mountains on the North American continent are a result on plate collisions that occured several hundred million years ago, and erosion has greatly eroded their height. At one time, the Appalachian Mountains were higher than Mount Everest, the current highest point on the planet's surface.
The Ural mountains formed as a result of the collision of Europe with Asia and are folded mountains. Fold mountains are mountain ranges that are formed when two of the tectonic plates that make up the Earth's crust push together at their border. The extreme pressure forces the edges of the plates upwards into a series of folds.
the himalaya mountains were formed in a collision at a convergent boundary
The Appalachian mountains in North America were formed by a continent-continent collision in the Paleozoic.
The Ural Mountains were formed by the collision of the Eurasian and the North American tectonic plates, marking the boundary between Europe and Asia.
The Appalachians were formed by layers of sedimentary rock uplifting and folding. Basically North America collided with Europe and Northern Africa.
B, The Alps of Europe. :)

The Himalayas formed :]
Fold mountains are formed due to the collision of plates and earth movements.
the andes mountains were formed by a continental collision
