The Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses, as the representative of the 'faithful and discreet slave', have determined, based on their current understanding of Acts 15, that Witnesses are not allowed transfusions of whole blood, red cells, white cells, plasma or platelets. They are allowed transfusions of all of the component parts of these components.
The Watchtower 15/2/2009 p27 says 'Since Jehovah God and Jesus Christ completely trust the 'faithful and discreet slave', should we not do the same?'
