Minimum age for president is 35; for senator 30.
30
You must be the age of 30.
30. House is 25 and president 35.
Presidents are not appointed- they are elected. A senator or representative can run for president , but if elected president , he must resign any previous office before he takes office as president.
The minimum age to run for office is 25 years, but along with the age requirement, there are some other requirements you must meet.
A Senator in the United States is elected to a term of six years and then can run again for office. Senators must be at least 30 years old to hold office.
US Senator
In the United States Senate, the term in office is six years. After that the senator must either resign or declare that he is running for re-election. There are no limits on how many times a senator can run for re-election.
30 years old.
No. He was a Russian astronaut, who never chose to run for office in the US.
You must be 35 in order to run for the office of president. That means, before you can initiate all [any] of the necessary paperwork, you must have already attained the age of 35. In other words, you can't start that paperwork process while you are still 34 - you must wait until you are 35.
Must be 30 years old, though we have had Senators elected at 29, but turned 30 at the swearing ceremony. But the US Constitution clearly states the age of 30. (No- to assume office one has to be thirty. Rush Holt (D., W.V) was elected at 29, and had to wait six months to take office.)
article 1, section 3 of the constitution says "No Person shall be a Senator who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty Years, and been nine Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State for which he shall be chosen." so pretty much to sum this up, to be a Senator, you have to be 30 or older, have to have lived in the United states for 9 years, and you have to live in the state you want to run for.
