Previous (False) Answer: uniting Bosnia with Serbia

FALSE, the assassination led to a War between Austria and Serbia as well as beginning the entirety of WWI. On top of that it was a Serbian student who committed the assissination in the first place. Even more to that, Bosnia was a "Austria Possession" as mentioned in the NovaNET notes!

Protesting wouldn't include an assassination, the War wasn't being envied between the country and Germany either. To add the Russians didn't enter the war until later after this event so that isn't the answer either.

The answer is not present. The answer is none of the above.
