bimodal histogram is a histogram where there are two clear high points on the graph. ex.) age of people at a preschool play group. There would be preschool age and adult age. Not many teenagers or elderly. Bimodal...the ages representing preschool and adult (parents?) would stand above the rest
NO where!
You draw a series of line segments joining the points which would be the middle of the top of each bar of the histogram.
Histogram is a special type of bar chart. The use of a histogram is to present frequency counts or relative frequencies of the data. Histograms should be used when the frequency of occurrence is important. Perhaps I want to show the frequency of accidents based on the time they occurred. A histogram would have intervals of time. Bar charts are very useful for comparision purposes. Different color or shadings bars can allow for multiple comparisons. Bar charts are also used when the x-axis is not a numerical value, but a general category. In this case, the categories may be ordered, depending on their associated value. For example, you want to show which make of cars have the highest re-sale value, so you rank them from lowest to highest.
A histogram is used to analyze a distribution of data. It look like a graph and can be used in many formats - the most popular may be in Photography, showing the distribution of shadows and light in a visual representation.

As a visual representation of data, then a histogram is a way of analysing data.

A histogram
If you have calculated a histogram of your data, the mode is the interval with the highest relative frequency. If you have not created a histogram, and your dataset contains finite numbers (fixed decimal numbers), with some numbers repeating, then those numbers that repeat the most would be the mode. Otherwise, if you do not group your data, where you select an interval to calculate relative frequency, then a mode is not identifiable.
All that histogram equalization does is remap histogram components on the intensity scale. To obtain a uniform (at) histogram would require in general that pixel intensities be actually redistributed so that there are L groups of n=L pixels with the same intensity, where L is the number of allowed discrete intensity levels and n is the total number of pixels in the input image. The histogram equalization method has no provisions for this type of (arti®cial) redistribution process.
No. That would be a histogram.
