Is your kickstand up?
Some bikes have an automatic shutoff that will not allow the bike to go if the kickstand is down.
Are you talking about a magna or sabre?
Same as for the brakes. Locate the bleeder, slack it and re tighten. Have someone pull in the clutch and hold, you release the bleeder, then tighten it while the clutch is still held in. Once the bleeder is tight, release the clutch and repeat till all the air is out. Make sure to refill the fluid.
10w30 or 10w40 that is made for liquid clutch.

You will be fine with 10w-40 ATV or motorcycle oil designed for wet clutch engines.

The 1100 has what is refered to as a wet clutch. The same oil that is used for the motor oil is used for the transmission. Because of this it is very important to use oil that is labeled "Wet Clutch Compatable". You can get this through your Honda dealer or motorcycle shop.
a motorcycle grade (moly free for the clutch) 20w-50 JASO rated oil would be great dont use car oil. you could ruin your clutch
To check most transmissions on Honda motor cycles you check engine oil. They have a liquid clutch that are in the crank case oil.
No you should use ATV or motorcycle engine oil designed for wet clutch engines.
