Cassowaries are in the order Struthioniformes while guinea fowl are in the order Galliformes.
In addition, the cassowary is one of the ratites, a particular group of Flightless Birds. Other members of this group, and therefore birds related to the cassowary, are the emu, kiwi, ostrich and rhea.
There is only one species of emu (that is not extinct) and it does not have a crest, or helmet. None of the other ratites has a helmet.
