The Christian concept of salvation(being saved from your sins and eternal damnation by a deity or his agent) does not exist in Buddhism. In Buddhism there are no sins just unskillful living which prevents you from escaping suffering and the cycle of death and rebirth. Escaping this comes from your own efforts and understanding as directed by the Eightfold Path. Once enlightenment is achieved you may enter a state of Nirvana and lose the last illusion of the separate self or not. Mahayana Buddhists believe you can return to the cycle of death and rebirth to help others attain enlightenment.

Buddhas of teaching how is salvation achieved?

Buddhism does not use the concept of salvation in its teaching. Salvation is a Christian concept that you must be judged and found worthy by a god, usually resulting from compliance with his rules. in Buddhism there is no god and no rule. There is also no heaven to go to. In Buddhism the closest thing to this concept is enlightenment. An achievement one gains after countless reincarnations. It is realized when everything "clicks" and you trials how to run your life properly without desire or suffering. This is personal achievement needing no god to help you. Death after enlightenment is the last and you may enter Nirvana a state of selfless existence where you blend seamlessly with everything. or you may chose to reenter the cycle of death and rebirth to aid others in their search for enlightenment.

How are the four noble truths of buddha important for salvation?

The Four Noble Truths have nothing to do with "salvation". Buddhism does not have the concept of salvation. Buddhism has the concept of enlightenment which a person achieves by their own efforts, there is no god to help them. Salvation is a Christian concept and is seen to be a gift from the Christian god. The Four Noble Truths are a statement of the hunan condition (all life is essentially troubled by suffering), an explanation for this condition (suffering results from desire), an obvious remedy (ending desire will end suffering), and a pointer towards how to initiate this solution (the route to ending suffering is found in the Eightfold Path)
