Homozygous tall pea plants chromosomes are TT and short pea plants are tt. (You can use whatever letters you like, as long as dominate traits are capitalized and recessive lower-cased.) A heterozygous tall pea plant is Tt. This is resulted because the F1 generation takes one chromosome from the tall plant (T) and one from the short plant (t). So you can see only Tt is possible.

Yes, homozygous with homozygous (both the same genotype) will produce homozygous of the same genotype

Are homozygous true breeding for a particular trait?

What is the heterozygous for the A allele?

Heterozygous Aa Homozygous AA, aa

Which gender is homozygous?

Homozygous means "the same egg." That refers to identical twins. Identical twins are always the same gender since they have the same chromosomes.

Is an organism that is homozygous for many recessive traits at a disadvantage?

It depends on the trait. A dominate trait is not always an advantage, and a recessive trait is not always at a disadvantage.

Explain why the homozygous recessive would always be used in a test cross?

Both parents have the same allels

What is dominant recessive?

There is dominant and there is recessive. There is no dominant recessive. A dominant gene will always be expressed when present, such as in the homozygous dominant genotype (RR), or heterozygous genotype (Rr). A recessive allele is only expressed when the genotype is homozygous recessive (rr).

Crossing over always happens during what?

A sea voyage.

How do genetics represent h dominant and Recessive allele?

A dominant genotype is represented as DD or Dd but with many different letters. The DD is a homozygous dominant, while the Dd is the heterozygous dominant. Recessive is always represented as dd or rr or whatever letter you want to use. It is always homozygous recessive. There can never be a heterozygous recessive.
