The difference is in the name. "Mono" means one, so a monostable circuit is a circuit that is only stable in one state. An astable "A" means without... is a circuit that is not stable in any state.

hope this helped!

What is an NE555's job in a circuit?

A 555 chip is used as a timer. In a monostable circuit the chip will send one pulse after a period of time. If the chip is in a astable circuit it will send pulses forever.

What does a 555 astable circuit do?

i do not know what an astable circuit does thats why i aksed

What is the operation of the monostable multiviator circuit using 555?

The 555 timer is commonly used in IC electronics and in electronic circuits. In the monostable multivibrabor mode, the 555 works as a pulse generator. In astable mulitvibrator mode, the 555 is free running, and goes back and forth between frequencies.

What is astable?

An astable multivibrator [also known as an oscillator] is a circuit built so that it does not come to rest in one single state but switches between them continuously.

Difference between monostable multivibrator and astable multivibrator?

No, cant use bistable multivibrator in place of monostable multivibrator... because monostable is meant for one stable state and one unstable state.. so there will be a constant time period for the alternate pulses of output.. but in bistable multivibrator, both are stable states.. so there is no specific time period for the output pulses.. the state will vary only on the application of mannual trigger...

What are the applications of a monostable multivibrator?

applications of monostable multivibratorA monostable is a circuit that will respond to a stimuli only once and only for a period. Its usage can be many depends of applications

What is meant by monostable multivibrator?

A monostable multivibrator is a circuit which produces a single pulse of specified duration in response to each external trigger signal.

Astable multivibrator can be used as?

An astable multivibrator such as simple 555 timer circuit can be used as a clock source, turning LEDs on/off at timed intervals, or at frequencies between 20hz-20khz to generate sound audible to humans

How does an astable circuit work?

astable network means it has only one stable state.so the circuit need trigger input to change to another stage and it automatically changes to the previous stage when the process completed with the use of the capacitor.

Use of monostable multivibrator?

it is used for square wave generation.\ ANSWER: Never monostable is a once fire will never toggle again. Meaning it will work once and never again not until a stimuli is present again. there AS-TABLE oscillators and monostable

What is the difference between series and parralal circuit?

difference between series is one pathway through circuit, difference between parralal is more then one pathway through circuit.
