Magnitude is a term used to describe how much energy was released by an earthquake. It gives an indication of the amplitude of the seismic waves that occur and also on the length of the fault rupture zone and the displacement along the fault. A magnitude 7 earthquake is defined by the US Geological Survey as a "major" earthquake. In general earthquake over a magnitude of 4 or 5 can cause damage although the exact reasons why some earthquake are more damaging than others is more complext than just the absolute magnitdue of the earthquake.

The Earthquake in haiti was a magnitude 7.0 earthquake, following some very severe aftershocks including a magnitude 6.1 aftershock. This was the largest earthquake ever revocorded and had the largest aftershock also recorded
An 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti on January 12, 2010 and killed more than 200,000 people. There was a 7.0 magnitude earthquake in Port-au-Prince Haiti. This earthquake happened Tuesday January 12th, 2010 @ 4:53pm est. Then on Sunday January 17th 2010 @ around 6am they had a 4.7 magnitude aftershock. They said around 150,000 bodies were expected to have been recovered from the wreckage of the devastating earthquake, by Monday with another 200,000 feared dead under the rubble.
No. The second highest earthquake magnitude (depending on the source of the information) was either the Boxing Day 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake (magnitude 9.1 - 9.3) or the 1964 Alaskan earthquake (magnitude 9.2). The Haitian Earthquake in January 2010 had a Richter magnitude of 7.2.
The January 12, 2010 earthquake measured 7.0 Mw on the moment magnatude scale.
The epicentre of an earthquake this the point in the earth where the earth moved (fractured) to cause the shaking of the ground. The 2010 Haiti earthquakes epicentre was located 15 miles WSW of Port-Au-Prince and was at a depth of 8.1 miles. it was a 7.0 magnitude earthquake.
The magnitude of Haiti's recent earthquake was 7.0
The magnitude of the 2010 Haiti earthquake on the Richter scale was 7.0

The Haiti earthquake was measued at a magnitude of seven on the ricter scale.
The Earthquake in haiti was a magnitude 7.0 earthquake, following some very severe aftershocks including a magnitude 6.1 aftershock. This was the largest earthquake ever revocorded and had the largest aftershock also recorded
a magnitude of 7.0
a magnitude of 7.0
Haiti was struck by a major earthquake on January 12, 2010.
7.0
Most of the people died in Haiti because of the many buildings that were destroyed by the 7.0 magnitude earthquake.
The magnitude of the earthquake was 7.0. The first estimates were of a 7.3 Richter magnitude quake. and the highest aftershocks were 5.9 on the Richter scale
The earthquake in Haiti wasn't actually so big ("only" 7.0 magnitude), but caused over 220,000 deaths.
