Joseph Tyrrell found his first major fossil discovery, a partial skull of a dinosaur, in 1884 in Alberta, Canada. This discovery led to the excavation of the nearly complete dinosaur skeleton, now known as "Albertosaurus".

For thousands of years, dinosaur bones were attributed to dragons and other myths, and people never tried to truly understand them. In the 1800's, the teeth of Iguanodon were among the first dinosaur fossils to be found and then studied by scientists. Later, a large group of Iguanodon fossils was discovered in Bernissart, Belgium. At least 38 different Iguanodon skeletons were found. These skeletons were among the first nearly complete dinosaur skeletons to ever be found, and they helped to greatly improve the understanding of dinosaurs from giant lizards to very unique reptiles.
It is said that the Brontosaurus does not exist; paleontologist O.C. Marsh, who discovered the Brontosaurus in 1879 found a skeleton that did not have a head, so he used a skull that was found miles away to complete the skeleton. The skeleton O.C. Marsh had found was actually the skeleton of an Apatosaurus, which is a species he had already discovered and named two years earlier. So that being said, there was no longer any dinosaur named Brontosaurus.
I believe that Mary Ann Mantel discovered the first dinosaur skeleton/fossil in England in the 1800's.

In 1974, one of the most significant discoveries was the unveiling of the Terracotta Army in China, which consists of thousands of life-sized clay soldiers buried with the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang. Additionally, the first complete dinosaur skeleton, known as "The Dinosaur in the Museum," was also discovered in 1974. This year marked a notable advancement in various scientific and archaeological fields, contributing greatly to our understanding of history and paleontology.
Yes, Sue Hendrickson is still alive. She is an American paleontologist best known for her discovery of the first nearly complete Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton in 1990. Hendrickson continues to be active in her field and contributes to paleontological research and education.
The isolation of South America from the northern continents 144 million years ago. carnotaurs was first described in 1985 by Argentinian dinosaur expert J.F Bonaparte from a sole complete skeleton of the only species found in Late Cretaceous strata of Patagonia
The first dinosaur was Eoraptor.
The dinosaur mother came first. Both the dinosaur mother and father were needed to produce the egg where the dinosaur baby came from.
Iguanodon was the first dinosaur to be named. Around 1840 a man named Gideon Mantell found a large tooth by the side of the road. It looked like the tooth of an iguana but it was much larger. They were then able to match the tooth with the rest of the skeleton that was found. Iguanodon means "iguana tooth".
