Could be a faulty guage, check to see if you are getting a good connection to it, and with a test light check to see if the current is continuous. If so, then probably the float inside the gas tank on the fuel assembly.... have to drop the tank to do that one. Good luck.
Because you don't drive it or it's broken.
Your fuel sending unit is probably bad. It is located in the fuel tank and the fuel tank must be removed to replace it.
First off the fuel filler neck is a different size, and you cannot insert a diesel nozzle in a petrol car, secondly somewhere on the vehicle is should say diesel. Also look at the fuel gauge when it will say diesel only. Lastly read the owners manual.
No, it just means that the fuel level sensor is malfunctioning. Your gas gauge may not read properly.
either that or the gauge, wiring or a connector.
It is necessary to read the density and the quality of the gauge. You should see the lower side.
No, you installing a fuel pump has nothing to do with the fuel gauge
possible bad ground
Aroun the middle of the gauge, 195-210
The gas gauge and fuel pump are on two separate circuits tand both go inside the gas tank. The gas gauge usesf a float that moves a resistor according to fuel level. Gas gauges. When you experiewnce the gas gauge not working at all I would look for a disconection external to the tank first. If you cna send six volts from the tank sender to the gauge this should cause the gauge to read. If it does then you know the problem is with the sending unit and it must be removed from the tank to repair or replace.
The sending unit(float) has failed. The sending unit is attached to the fuel pump module in the fuel tank.
Probably a faulty sending unit in the fuel tank.
