Taxonomy was discover by Carl Linneaus. Taxonomy is the classification of all living organisms.
Carl Linneaus(not sure if Linneaus is spelled right)your welcome
Linneaus was the man who first made the Taxonomy system. He placed organisms in 2 Categories (Kingdoms). Plantae (Plants) and Animalia (animals). After a while the Kingdom Protista (Microorganisms) was created. Then Fungi, then Monera, and then Monera was split into two groups (Bacteria and Archae). His name was Carl Linne, but in accord with custom at the time, he was enrolled at Lund university under his Latinized name. His work on biota was of such stature that he was in 1959 designated as the lectotype for Homo sapiens.

Modern taxonomy. It is the science of of classification of life. (Named after Carl Von Linneaus)
Carl Linnaeus
The modern system of taxonomy was created by Carl Linnaeus, a Swedish botanist, physician, and zoologist. He is known for his development of the binomial nomenclature system, which is still used today to classify and name organisms.
Before Carl Linnaeus developed his binomial nomenclature system for classifying and naming organisms, the Aristotelian system of classification was in place. This system classified organisms based on physical similarities, which led to confusion and inconsistencies, as it relied on subjective interpretations rather than clear, standardized criteria.
yes Carl Linnaeus, or Carl von Linné (after being dubbed to knighthood in 1753 by king Adolph Fredrik of Sweden. In 1761 he was raised to the nobility and took the name von Linné.) was a botanist. His method of hierarchical classification and custom of binomial nomenclature is the basis for current day taxonomies. See the related article.
The classification of organisms has evolved since Aristotle grouped life forms into plants and animals over 2,300 years ago. Carl Woese proposed the most recent changes to the classification system in 1990, introducing three domains, archaea, bacteria, and eucarya, by the type of RNA in their cells.Charles Linneaus created the actual groups of the basis of the modern classification system.-Malia1699
Woese showed that prokaryotes actually can be divided into two groups-Bacteria and Archaea
